Breaking Trail
Original oil painting on panel 12" x 16"
Painted with a pallet knife in a loose expressive style, this painting brings that warm glow of the afternoon sun back to your frozen cheeks. "Breaking Trail" was inspired by a winter backpacking trip up Tongue Mountain on Lake George in the Adirondack Mountains of New York. Our snowshoes and the occasional deer and critter were the only ones sinking through a foot of fluffy fresh powder that weekend.
